Leaf bags and other ramblings...

I'm gonna buy some leaf bags and bag up our yard. Sitting outside on this gorgeous day earlier, I was shivering just a bit and shoving my hands in my pockets, had the hat on my coat pulled on and tied up. I felt a little silly with my rain boots on and the kids wearing their boots too...but it's muddy and sneakers and mud just don't mix.

Anyway.

I thought, "I need to be DOING something!" I don't like to just sit and watch the kids play. I either want to be playing too, reading, looking at cookbooks, having devotion or working...something! (I guess sometimes it's nice to just sit..but only after I've DONE something.)

Well, it was pretty muddy out still and so we played some kickball, I looked at a couple cookbooks, but then, I just wanted to be working. In the mood to work, so I started thinking of stuff I could work on and came up pretty empty after I knocked the mud off the house with a broom. LOL.

Leaves! I could bag up the leaves and the kids could help. Get our gloves and get to work, so that's our next outside project.

Inside project is I'm repainting the kitchen. I've got some patching done already and I've given myself February to get the kitchen completed. March is gonna be the front room, April the living room, etc.

I'm patching and painting.

My Job

I've been looking stuff up on the internet about what a housewife does...ya know, just to make sure I'm doing it "right". :-)

I found a list (that didn't include God, so I added Him to the top where he SHOULD be.)

God, Husband, Children, House, Food and Self.
Housekeeper, Jill-of-all-Trades, Chef, Decorator, Bookkeeper and Diplomat.

Day of Love - Happy Valentine's! UPDATED

His balloon popped just shortly after he was given it by his Nana...:-(

We aren't doing much today and Mike has class tonight til late. Kids aren't feeling 100%, so they've been lazy and just snuggly yesterday and today. 

This year has been weird so far...

On our anniversary (late January), we both kinda forgot until mid-day and then we texted each other...today was no exception - we forgot again to say "Happy Valentine's Day" until mid-morning via text.

Heehee...

Well...baby girl just woke up early from her nap, so I must go tend to her needs. Whiny little thing...she doesn't feel good! :-(

Calendars

Mike pointed out that I have three calendars now. I have a planner, a wall calendar and a dry erase calendar on the fridge.

I explained to him that this was NECESSARY because of the following reasons:

Muffin Top...For reals this time :-)

Please ignore the tiger stripes (a.k.a. stretch marks): I had two babies within two years of each other and that's just what happens. I've made some noticeable progress. Mainly in the muffin top area. Last year, I could barely button these jeans and now, I'm giving them away because I can take them off without unbuttoning them. 

I love accountability.

Not loving that I'll never wear a bikini again, but hey...I'll wear a one piece proudly one day!!!

SHUT UP and Run!

I was browsing blogs and saw some exercise shirts with this on them. "SHUT UP and Run!" How true!!

I've never met anyone that's in shape and lives it out that said, "Oh this is a fluke and I'll be back to my jiggle and jammies before ya know it!"

I dislike when people tell me that my like for health and fitness is gonna run it's course and I won't stick with it. These people are always out of shape. And why on earth would say that out loud to someone?

What's out there?

I feel sheltered and cocooned inside my home.

My sister told me a story yesterday about this man that admitted to killing his wife via e-mail to his lawyer. Then, after he sent the e-mail, he went to the school and picked up his two boys, brought them home, killed them and blew up the house with all of them inside. They believe he killed his sons with machetes before blowing up the house.

They are laughing at the new M&M commercial - "I'm sexy and I know it!" LOL...Funniest commercial of the night.

My hubs making the spicy chicken wings - The guys like them, the girls, not so much.

Loaded pretzel rods - Dip in caramel and roll in chocolate chips, crunchy toffee bits, butterscotch bits and nuts.

They LOVE each other...So sweet.

LOL...He has chocolate all over his 7 month old face - Bub was feeding him a chocolate chip cookie before any of us adults even realized it!!! He liked it! Heehee...

Bub - it's so hard to get a picture of him. 

Jogged (and walked some) about three miles on Saturday, two on Sunday and jumped rope today. Calves are sore, not to where I CAN'T walk, but I'm limping just a little. Feels good though...Might be in my head, but I can already see a difference.

Weekend Recap can't happen today, but it was a great weekend! Great, great, great!! I love when rest is spectacular. 

I'm trying to keep this thought running through my head, "What can I do for my husband today? What can I do for my children today?"

Storm and YUM!

BOOM! There's a storm brewing outside and I can feel my excitement building. We haven't had a storm in what feels like FOREVER. :-)

But there's one here now --- I love the electricity and static it creates in my neck. WOOHOO!
